Born in Habersham, Ga.; he was a son of the late Charlie Cummings and Nellie Crow Canada. Roy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he had 19 years of perfect attendance in Sunday School. He was retired from Monsanto, and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Second World War.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Finley and husband Steve of Honea Path, and Barbara Moore and husband Mike of Fork Shoals; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 29^th, at 3:00 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gayle Summey and Rev. Boyd King officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home, and will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Box 483, Honea Path, SC  29654.
