Honea Path – Wilma Jean Davis Phillips, 68, widow of Jerry Christopher Phillips, of 115 Latimer Mill Rd, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Springfield VA, she was a daughter of Katie Bauserman Davis and the late Elbert Houston Davis. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and retired from Carolina Circuits. Mrs. Phillips enjoyed sewing and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “GaGa”.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Ware Shoals are: three sons, Chris Phillips (Michelle) of Greenville, Jim Phillips (Angela) of Piedmont and Michael Phillips of the home, two brothers, Don Davis (Patricia) and Johnny Davis (Anne) all of Princeton, a sister, Linda Garner of Fountain Inn, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Columbia Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Hendricks and Rev. Greg Loner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of her mother, 875 Buddy Knight Rd, Ware Shoals, and will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the service.
