Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence “Skinner” and Mary Eunice Richey Ashley. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Honea Path Shirt Plant. She was a loving mother who loved cooking for everyone and loved gospel music.

Surviving are: four sons, Randy, Dennis Mike and Tim Fields, all of Honea Path a daughter, Mandy (Keith) Hall of Honea Path, a brother, Bobby Ashley of Honea Path, two sisters, Joyce (Billy) Cowan of Honea Path, and Wilma (Don) Tumblin of Gray Court, seven grandchildren, Jamie, David, and Jenny, whom were raised by Mrs. Fields, Desiree’, Damian, Justin, and Harley, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Bethany World Outreach with Rev. Rickey Knight and Rev. Andrew Overby officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview cemetery.
