Bobby O. Ashley

Honea Path – Robert “Bobby” Odell Ashley, of 197 Bratcher Dr., died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at AnMed Health Center.

Born Dec. 8, 1939 in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Clarence O. and Mary Eunice Richey Ashley. He attended Broadmouth Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter and owner of Ashley’s Cabinet Shop. He loved spending time fishing and time with family and friends.

Surviving are: two sisters, Wilma (Don) Tumblin of Hickory Tavern and Joyce (Bill) Cowan of Honea Path, several nieces and nephews, special friend and companion, Beth Carter of Hartwell, GA, and special friend and “buddy”, Scott Haynes of Honea Path.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence “Junior” Ashley, Walter “Larry” Ashley, and Rudolph Ashley, and two sisters, Mary Ashley Fields and Dorothy Ashley Morter.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
