Donalds – Esther Louise “Lee” Hoxsey Newkirk, 65, of 1020 Old Shoals Junction Road, died Sunday at her home.
Born in Oceanside, CA., she was a daughter of the late David and Lillian Johnson Hoxsey. She was the wife of John Andrew “Jack” Newkirk for 48 years, and was retired from Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a son, David Roy Newkirk of Lincoln, NE., a daughter, Brenda Kaye Coats of Greenville, a brother Ronald Hoxsey of Chicago, IL., two sisters, Elizabeth Vaughn of Denver, CO. and Donna Jones of Tollhouse, CA., and six grandchildren, Matthew Nix, Kayla Nix, Samantha Newkirk, Caitlyn Newkirk, Megan Newkirk, and Lillian Coats.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday July 23rd at 2 P.M. at Gethsemane Church, Cork Street, Ware Shoals, with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.
