Belton - Ronnie Dale McClain, 70, husband of Linda Faye King McClain, of 17838A Brown Avenue Ext., died Tuesday, July 22, 2014.

 

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Etrulia Williams McClain and the late Robert McClain.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his mother are six daughters: Robbie Johnson (Wayne) of Belton, Jamie Lay (Kenneth) of Belton, Lynn Ables (Jerry) of Williamston, Rosemary Vaughn (David) of Belton, Marchelle Gurley (Scott) of Anderson, and Natasha Dale Thomas; three sisters: Rebecca McClain, Bonnie Fay Kay, and Diane Huskey; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mr. McClain was predeceased by one brother: Robert Lee McClain; one grandson: Kenneth Patrick Lay; one great-grandson: Cayden McClain; and one great-granddaughter: Jazlyn McClain.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 26 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Entombment will follow at the Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Steven Johnson, Zachary McClain, Chase McClain, Brandon Gurley, Paul Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn, Dustin Lay, and Adam Lay. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Ables and Tyler Gurley.

The family is at the home of a grandson, Dustin Lay, 17838 Brown Ave. Ext., and will receive friends Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
