Frances Willis

Ware Shoals – Frances Elizabeth Brooks Willis, 90, widow of Jeter Drayton Willis, of 526 Old Shoals Junction Rd, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her home.

 

 

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Edgar and Sara Wells Brooks. She was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church and a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. Mrs. Willis was the Matriarch of the entire family and her patient, loving guidance will be missed and fondly remembered by everyone. 

Surviving are: a son, Jeter Dale Willis of the home, two daughters, Peggy Patrick of Ware Shoals and Shirley Willis of Clearwater, FL, seven grandchildren, Dendall Wood and wife Bridget, Wesley Willis and wife Cristy, Caleb Willis and wife Vi, Dray Willis and wife Caroline, Daless Willis, Tammy Wood, and Tammy Patrick, twelve great-grandchildren, Stephen, Brandon, Eian, and Anslee Grace Wood, Brycen and Jackson Willis, Kensley and Grant Brown, Paige McAlister, Aubrey, Cayden, and Benjamin Willis.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Ron Wood, two brothers, Gerald and Robert Brooks and a sister, Grace Slatton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Willis, Dray Willis, Caleb Willis, Randy Butler, Trey Busby, Joseph Brooks, Noah Brooks, and Zach Brooks.
