Sara Frances Hughes

Laurens – Mrs. Sara Frances Stephens Hughes, 78, of 130 Hughes Drive, widow of William Hunter Hughes, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Frank Asbury and Sara Henderson Stephens.  She was of the Baptist Faith and a homemaker. She was twice married 1st to the late Elbert Carroll Lothridge.

Surviving are two sons, Lonnie Lothridge and wife Sandra and daughter Sara of Fountain Inn and Donnie Lothridge and wife Paula and daughter Tara of Hickory Tavern; one daughter, Cindy Lothridge of Laurens; one brother, Frank Asbury Stephens, Jr. of Winston Salem, NC; one sister, Blanche Jeanette Patterson of Simpsonville; three step-sons, Mark Hughes and wife Julie, Billy Hughes and wife Sandra and Elbert Eugene Hughes; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Glenn Mosteller officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
