Jimmie Rose Carver

Ware Shoals – Jimmie Rose Haynes Carver, 83, widow of Rev. Roderick Carver, of 84 Turkey Creek Dr. died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the Hospice House in Greenwood.

Born in Americus, Ga., she was a daughter of the late James Roy and Rosa Lee Cornwell Haynes. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Greenwood where she served as a member of the Host Team. She was a minister’s wife, a mother, and Mamaw.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen Carver of Waterloo, and Daniel Carver and wife Nell of Easley; a son-in-law, Ron Mitchell of Ware Shoals; a brother, Buddy Haynes of Oregon; two sisters, Nell Lackey of Arkansas and Helen Smithey of Ware Shoals; twelve grandchildren: Traci and Kevin McKee, Darci and Chris Horne, Rachel Wilson, Tyler and Justin Julian, Manolo Zuber, Mat Tackels, Amanda Mitchell, Kenny and Cheyenne Mitchell, Stephanie and Joseph Howard, David and Nicole Carpenter, Jenifer Jones, and Amy Carpenter, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Sandra Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lethco and Rev. James Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Traci McKee, 78 Turkey Creek Drive.
