Honea Path – Florence Olivia Neal Owens, 91, wife of Daniel Owens of 100 Holland Drive, Belton, died Saturday, September 6th, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Anderson county, she was a daughter of the late Obie C. and Annie Mae Harter Neal. She was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church, and was a retired injection molder for Westinghouse, as well as a homemaker. Also, Mrs. Owens was an auxiliary member of the American Legion, and the D.A.V.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are one daughter: Linda Owens of Anderson; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son: Roger Owens; three brothers: Richard Neal, Odell Neal, and Claymond Neal; and four sisters: Blanch Gilmer, Irene Heck, Frances Vaughn, and Shirley Tesseneer.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Dorriety officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends from 2-3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
