Marvin W. Chapman

Ware Shoals – Marvin William Chapman, 84, husband of Martha Jean McKee Chapman, of 1674 Power House Rd., died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at National Health Care in Greenwood.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Clifton Clinton and Mary Livingston Chapman. Mr. Chapman was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, and served in the United States Army. He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one stepson: William “Bill” R. O’Dell and wife Helen of Hodges; one stepdaughter: Cindy Moore and husband Bill of Ware Shoals; one brother: Clarence “Bud” Chapman; one sister: Polly Abrams; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers: J.C. Chapman, Frank Chapman, Clint Chapman and Grady Chapman; and one sister: Louise Postell.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
