Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Ira Durand Ashley and Teri Jo Keller Stokes. He was employed at Piedmont Plastics and enjoyed fishing and helping people.

Surviving in addition to his father of Abbeville and mother of Cross Hill are: his step-mother, Jennifer Ashley of Abbeville, his step-father, Joe Stokes of Cross Hill, a brother, Josh Ashley of Abbeville and a sister, Taryn Ashley of Ware Shoals, paternal grandmother, Darlene Ashley, maternal grandmother, Maedale Ballew, both of Ware Shoals, his girlfriend, Taylor Sullivan of Ware Shoals, and nephews, Caeleb, Jase, and Zeke Stewart. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jack Ashley and maternal grandfather, Carlos Keller, Sr.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at The Little River Multicultural Complex, 415 Riley Rd N., Hodges, SC.
