Mae Bonds

Honea Path – Garnie Mae Mayfield Bonds, 90, of 418 N. Shirley Ave., died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Ira Benson and Myrtie Maude Stone Mayfield. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Anderson and was retired from Woodside Mills. She was also retired from the American Red Cross, where she taught CPR and First Aid for many years.

Surviving are: one son, John Henry, Jr. (Sandra) Bonds of Honea Path; six grandchildren, Michelle Coffee, Lee Bonds, Mike Bonds, Paula Maly, Melaine Stoutenburg, and David Bonds; eight great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son Benson Lee Bonds and three sisters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Darin Park officiating. Burial will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery.
