Elaine "Ma" Ashley

Honea Path – Linda Elaine “Ma” Woods Ashley, 72, widow of Charles Carlton Ashley, of 208 W. Ridgeway Rd., died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Berttie Gambrell Woods. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and retired from The Biscuit Barn.

Surviving are:  Renee Bailey, with whom she made her home; a son, Cecil L. Bailey; two brothers, Cecil L. “Woody” Woods of HI and Carl Story of Forks Shoals; a granddaughter, Misty (Jesse) Hendrix of Honea Path; two great-grandchildren, Macie and Kaley Hendrix, and four step-children. She was predeceased by a step-son and a brother, Walt Story.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Hart officiating.
