Ware Shoals – Sheron Diane Kernells passed away on January 5, 2015 at Hospice of Laurens County.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Cline Kernells and the late William Murphy Kernells. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. Sheron had been a resident of Whitten Center in Clinton for 15 years. Prior to that, she resided with her parents in Ware Shoals.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Ware Shoals are: two sisters, Joy Lynn Kernells of Greenwood and Christy Michelle Kernells of Ware Shoals, a niece, Beth Varnum Abeyta of Charleston, and two nephews, Matthew Byron Varnum of Greenwood and Joseph Michael Abeyta of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Whitten Center Chapel in Clinton with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the Whitten Center Chapel. Memorials may be made to Whitten Center, 28373 US 76 E., Clinton, SC 29325.
