Betty Savage

Ware Shoals – Betty Gladys Shockley Savage, 82, widow of John Henry Savage, of 3 W. Cork Street, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Born in Lula GA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Izora Shockley. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Riegel Textile Corp. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are: a son, Buddy Savage and two daughters, Dianne Barrett and Debbie (Danny) Haynes, all of Ware Shoals, a brother, Homer (Ruby) Shockley of Lula GA, two sisters, Gaynale and Ietna, both of Cornelia GA, seven grandchildren, Shane and Scott Campbell, Michelle Estes, DJ Haynes, Deanna Gilliam, Jason Savage and Marlana Ferrazza, thirteen great–grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Hans Wunch and Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of a daughter, 7679 Ekom Beach Rd, and will receive friends from 2–3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
