Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Owen and Myrtie Wynn Thaxton Escoe. She was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church, and was retired from Torrington Company.
Mrs. Ashley is survived by one daughter: Cheryl Ashley Ellis and husband Gary of Abbeville; two brothers: Ralph and Ray Escoe; one sister: Faye King; and two grandsons: Jamie and Chandler Ellis.
She was preceded in death by one brother: William Escoe; and three sisters: Ruth Madden, Louell Knight, and Sue Sellers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, at 3:00 PM at Austin Road Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Slatten and Rev. Mike Morris officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
