Born in Abbeville County he was a son of the late Lewis H. and Mae Gambrell Ridge. He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and the Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M. He was retired owner and operator of Whites Auto of Honea Path. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of the home, a son John Ralph Ridge, Jr. of Anderson, a brother Grover Ridge of Honea Path, and a sister Francis Wolf of Greenwood. He was predeceased by three brothers Joe, Roy and Bob Ridge and five sisters Carrie Findley, Gladys Black, Ruth Campbell, Ruby Young and Elizabeth Ridge.
Memorial services will be held Monday March 23, 2015 at 3 P.M. at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Beaver officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Monday March 23, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to service. The family will be at there respective homes. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to charity one’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
