Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Laura Carter Maddox and the late Roy Marion Maddox. He was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Belton are: his son, Steven (Carmen) Maddox of Honea Path, his daughter, Chrystal (Phil) Church of Anderson, his sister, Debbie (Richard) Whiten of Powersville, four grandchildren, Chandler and Addison Church and Cooper and Tucker Maddox.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Brooks officiating. Burial will be private.
The family is at the home of his mother, 400 Bill Kay Rd, Belton and will receive friends from 11-12 noon Saturday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
