Charlie Johnson

Ware Shoals – Charlie Johnson, 78, widower of Myrtle Louise Oshields Johnson, of 35 N. Greenwood Ave. died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home.

Born in LaurensCounty, he was a son of the late Clyde and Carrie Beck Johnson. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from J.P. Stevens, Watts Mill Plant.

Surviving are four sons, Ronnie Johnson of Ware Shoals, Jimmy Johnson of Waterloo, Stanley Johnson of Laurens, and Steve Johnson of Ware Shoals, a brother, Douglas Johnson of Winder, Ga., two sisters, Janice Just of Calhoun, Ga. and Geannie Pisdale of Sumter, a special grandson raised in the home, Ryan Johnson, grandchildren, Gene, Angie, Crissy, Sandy, Cassidy, Ray Brown and Josh Cleve, Jimmie (Little), Leslie, Miranda, Kim, Renae, Pricilla Hope, and Miranda Neal, and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Lewis, Fred, Jimmy, and Tommy Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M.. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at HighlandHomeBaptistChurchCemetery in Gray Court..
