Born in Anderson County he was a son of the late Jule and Ossie Hanley Lowe. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a self-employed contractor. He loved the outdoors and loved his roosters.
Surviving are two sons: Don Lowe and Lannie Lowe and wife Suzanne, both of Belton; companion: Louise Tiller of Iva; two brothers: Tommy Lowe and Noah Lee Allen, both of Belton; three sisters: Rachel Magaha of Pelzer, Lillie Wilson of Belton, and Edith Higdon of Arlington, VA; grandchildren: Kyle Lowe, Ashley Lowe (J.R. Jeffcoat), Tyler Lowe, Madison Lowe, Eric Payne, and Mackenzie McMahon; great-grandchildren: Sophia Grace and Samantha Jeffcoat.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers: Vernon Lowe, Avis Fields, and Bill Allen; and a sister: Idell Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
