James Sullivan

Ware Shoals – James Haskell Sullivan, 84, formerly of 214 James Road, died Friday at Southern Oaks Assisted Living in Greenville.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Pierce C. and Vader Boyter Sullivan. He was a member of Beech Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired accountant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, Korean War.

Surviving are a son, James Haskell Sullivan, Jr., five daughters, Janet Lynn Ray of Ware Shoals, Elaine Sullivan Grogan of Pelzer, Bonnie Holliday of Hodges, Pam Sullivan Higdon of Due West, and Cassondra Brooke Sullivan of Ware Shoals, a brother William Oscar Sullivan of Lincolnton, Ga., a sister, Elizabeth Craigo of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother Proctor Boyter and a sister Mildred Sullivan.

Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Ware Shoals Cemetery with Rev. Erick Boggs officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family is at the home of his sister, Mrs. Tony (Elizabeth) Craigo, 16031 Highway 25. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Greenwood County Humane Society, 239 Willbanks Cr. Greenwood, SC, 29649. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
