Helen Redd

Honea Path – Helen Ruth Looney Redd, 98, widow of William Evert “Dub” Redd, of 118 Maryland Avenue, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her home.

Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Pearl Cason Looney. She was a member of Chiquola United Methodist Church and was retired from Chiquola Mills.

Surviving are: two daughters, Glenda (Tom) Marbaker of Montrose, PA, and Debbie (Kenneth) Bagwell of Honea Path, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Tommy Redd, two brothers, George and Seth Stalcup, two sisters, Mattie Smith and Frances McElhannon, and a grandson, William Edward Marbaker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jones Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels-Anderson, 105 S.
