Christine Cothran

Ware Shoals – Christine Rannie Madden Cothran, 90, widow of Alfred Elwood Cothran, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at her home.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Leland Glenn and Rannie Lollis Madden. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the West Main St. Church of God where she formerly taught Sunday School.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Norwood of Ware Shoals, a brother, Rev. Truman Madden (Elizabeth) of Mauldin, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Larry Cothran, six brothers, David, Woodrow, Eugene, Cape, Dennis, Horace, and Joe Madden, and two sisters Ollie Wells and Irene Fortner.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Oakbrook Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum with Rev. John Tyson officiating.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Beverly Norwood and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Hospice of Laurens County, Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325, Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
