About

Since 1951, Parker-White Funeral Home has served the community of Ware Shoals, assisting families in their times of grief in a compassionate, dignified manner. As funerals have evolved through the years, our caring staff has continued to guide each family through the process of paying tribute to their lost loved ones.

Prior to Parker-White, the Ware Shoals Funeral Home was located in the Riegel Textile Mill's company store, the "Big Friendly", and was operated by Mr. Ben Freeman and Mr. Clarence Wickliffe. Later, it was moved to its present location at 17 N. Greenwood Ave. Ext.

Early in 1951, James H. Parker purchased the Ware Shoals Funeral Home, and was assisted by Billy Cann. In September of the same year, Billy and Carrie Lee White moved to Ware Shoals and partnered with Mr. Parker, to form Parker-White Funeral Home.

In 1982, Billy White purchased Pruitt Funeral Home, another family-owned funeral home in nearby Honea Path. Pruitt Funeral Home was then moved to its present location at 603 N. Main St.

As our family continues to operate these funeral homes into the third generation, our high standard of care and service to the families we serve continues to be our most important goal.
