Born in the Dunklin Township of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Ada (Cooley) and Enoch M. Cothran. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and a retired Riegel Textile employee.

 Surviving are: a daughter, Brenda Ridgeway Albinger, of Charleston; a son, Kenneth Ridgeway and wife Gena of Mableton, GA; a grandson, Billy Steen and wife Denyse of North Charleston; 2 granddaughters: Jeanne Albinger Rodick and husband Lt. Jordan Rodick USMC, of Twentynine Palms, CA; and Anna Ridgeway of Mableton, GA; 2 great-grandchildren, Blake and Maddie Steen, of North Charleston; and 2 sisters-in-law, Marie Ridgeway Smith and Polly Chapman Abrams of Ware Shoals.

 Funeral services will be at 4 pm Wednesday, January 4, at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
