Born in Atlanta GA, she was a daughter of Emily Ruth Gibson Parker and the late James Arthur Parker, Jr.  She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and formerly worked at the family business, Robert’s Body Shop.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Forest Park GA are: her son, David Maddox (Jessica) Kay of Rock Hill, her daughter, Amanda Lynn Kay of Belton, two brothers, Michael Joseph Parker of Honea Path and James Arthur (Linda) Parker, III of Stockbridge GA, three sisters, Shirley Jane (Randy) Gordy of Griffin GA, Lisa Annette Parker of Ware Shoals, and Nancy Emily Swint of GA, two grandchildren, Ashlyn Marisa Kay and Grant Maddox Kay. She was predeceased by a brother, William Lester Swint, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jason Sturkie officiating. Private burial will follow in Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery.
