Effie Fleming

Honea Path – Effie Mae Burroughs Fleming, 93, widow of Luther Curtis Fleming, of 112 Carolina Avenue, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Maples.

 

Born in Athens Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Eunice Self Burroughs. She was a member of Crossroads Fellowship, formally worked at Chiquola Mills, and was a homemaker.

Surviving are: her son, Thomas (Nancy) Fleming of Honea Path, her daughter, Nancy (Doug) Cannon of Honea Path, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Tommie Ruth Lollis.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper and Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Lisa Howell, 541 Holiday Dam Road, Honea Path and will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to The Maples of Honea Path, 224 Wildwood Drive, Honea Path, SC 29654.
