Born in Anderson, he was a son of Carl Michael and Carol Dean Seawright Ambrose. He was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife Jennifer Ambrose, Mr. Ambrose is survived his Parents, one son: Bryce Ambrose of Seneca; one brother: Cory Daniel Ambrose and wife Missy of Honea Path; and one sister: Carolyn Melissa Ambrose of Anderson.
