Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Rickey and Dorothy Ivester Pearson. He was of the Church of God Faith and was a member of the Western Laurens County Fire Department. He was employed by Clendenin Lumber Co.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are a son, Hunter Pearson of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Halie Pearson of Anderson, and a half-sister, Sharon Corbin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop, Rev. Mark Lowe, and Rev. Lamar Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
