Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Riley Campbell and Mary Barrnet Singley. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Emery loved working with children at East Gantt Elementary, where she was a lunchroom manager.

She is survived by two sons: James Grant of Spartanburg and Robert Grant of Greenville; one daughter: Tara Cooley and husband Jeffrey of Belton; one brother: Dale Singley of Clinton; one sister: Peggy Bielecki and husband Pete of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and three grandchildren: Justin Grant, Jacob Cooley and Braylin Cooley.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 5 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Krieger officiating. Burial will be private.
