Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Kathleen Payne Phillips. He was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Phillips was formerly employed with the SC Department of Corrections.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 42 years of the home are: brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Debbie Andrews of Donalds, sister-in-law, Bonnie Hellams, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Sturkie officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.

The family is at the home of Bill and Debbie Andrews, 553 Haddon Rd, Donalds, SC and will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
