Nellie Terrell

Ware Shoals – Nellie Ida Frueh Terrell, 98, widow of Rev. James Monroe Terrell, formerly of Smith Street, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Kennesaw Place in Kennesaw, Ga.

She was born in Greenville, Il., a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Long Frueh.She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served as a pastor’s wife for 32 years, 8 ½ of those in Ware Shoals. She was also a homemaker for 24 years and worked for 16 years at Park Seed Company in customer service.

Surviving are two sons, Rev. Ken Terrell (Brenda) of Acworth, Ga and Lawrence Terrell (Judy) of Indian Land, SC, a daughter, Evelyn Taylor (Stanley) of Kennesaw, Ga., 8 grandchildren, Mark Ponthier, Clark Ponthier (Lisa), Errol Ponthier (Jeanie), Kathy Kemper (Edward), Amanda Boles (Dan), Sara Terrell, Stephanie Taylor, and Sean Taylor (Lisa), 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by 11 siblings, a daughter, Anita Hope Ponthier, and a grandson, Eric Wade Taylor.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood, with Rev. Ken Terrell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home.
