Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Benjamin A. Elledge and Pearl McCollough Elledge Vaughn. He was a retired Truck Driver and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are a son, Joseph Elledge of Honea Path, two daughters, Elaine Elledge Wilson of Anderson, and Wanda Jo Elledge of Ware Shoals, three brothers, Robert, Walter, and Edward Elledge, and  two sisters, Becky Arnett and Ann Babb. He was pre-deceased by a brother Ben Elledge and three Sisters, Amelia, Edna, and Clara.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Taylor and Rev. Lamar Babb officiating.
