Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late James William and Katherine “Patsy” McDonald. He was a member of Donalds United Methodist Church and was employed by Powell Trash Service of Hodges. He graduated from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Psychology. He loved life and enjoyed helping people.

Surviving are his two sisters, Dana M. Ellis (Carol) of Donalds and Millie McDonald of Donalds, a nephew, T. J. Ellis of Greenville, and a niece Jana Burton (Josh) of Donalds.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Fred Treaster officiating.
