Born in Due West, he was a son of the late Ira Lee and Nora Elizabeth Ashley Davis. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard. He was retired from Laurens Glass Company.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 56 years of the home are: two brothers, Gerald (Barbara) Davis of Columbia and John (Pat) Davis of Ware Shoals; his sister, Christine (Jim) Allen of Whitmire; a brother-in-law, Jimmy (Pauline) Cooley of Honea Path; two sisters-in-law, Carol L. Davis of Ware Shoals and Faye Cooley of Laurens; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Lee Davis and Donnie C. Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Greg Nix and Mr. Jim Allen officiating.
