Wilbur A. Moore

Ware Shoals – Wilbur Arthur Moore, 83, widower of the late Betty Ruth Sharp Moore, of 11083 Indian Mound Road, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home.

Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Leaverne “LK” and Myrtle Adair Moore. He was retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service, and served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W.

Surviving are: two sons, Joey Moore of Ruffin, SC and Billy (Cindy) Moore of Ware Shoals; a brother, Charles Earl (Betty Sue) Moore of Laurens; four sisters, Rebecca Robertson of Bellview WA, Janice Babb of Simpsonville, Rita (Everette) Babb of Greenville, and Teresa (Mark) Chapman of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Melissa (Steven) Bouknight and Amy (Stephen) Hashey, and six great-grandchildren, Alexus Hashey, Aden Bouknight, Ashton Hashey, Braydon Hashey, Carson Bouknight and Brody Bouknight.

He was pre-dececeased by a brother, Kenneth Moore and a sister, Clemiegene Arnold.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Marcus Bishop and Rev. Anthony Irby officiating.

The family is at the home of his son, Billy, 11237 Indian Mound Road, Ware Shoals, and will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Parker –White Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
