Born in Coventry RI. She was a daughter of the late Ann Madeline Cottle. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church of Honea Path and was employed as a CNA by Carlisle Senior Center of Fountain Inn.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are three sons, Erik Fowler of Simpsonville, Taylor Fowler (Shay) of Simpsonville, and Jonathan Pitts of Lakeland, Fl., three daughters, Ashley Fowler of Piedmont, Ashley Pitts of Georgia, and Aubrey Pitts of Lakeland, Fl., a brother Ricky Fontes, a sister, JoAnn Fontes, and fifteen grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Bobby Fontes.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Wednesday, June  26,2019  at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
