John Hartline

Ware Shoals – John Reed Hartline, 94, widower of Doris Helen Hayes Hartline, formerly of Forest Lane, died Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Hospice of the Peidmont.

Born in  Cherokee County, Alabama he was a son of the late Milas and Annie Tucker Hartline. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Co. and Mt. Vernon Mills. Worshipfull John R. Hartline , a lifelong member of Trion Lodge # 160 A.F.M., was the youngest Worshipfull Master to serve as Master  of a lodge in the State of Georgia. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 87th Infantry, 346th Regiment, M Company.

Surviving are: his son, John Hartline, Jr. of Joanna, his daughter, Reita (Steve) Pohlman of Due West, a sister, Mary Leo Daniel of Pennville, Ga., two grandchildren, Hunter (Ashley) Hartline and Stephen (Jaime) Pohlman, Jr., and a great-granddaughter, Jensyn Elizabeth Hartline. He was pre-deceased by a brother Roland F. Hartline.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Jones officiating followed by Masonic Rites. Entombment will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 9 to 10 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
