Ezra Vaughn

Donalds – Robert Ezra Vaughn, Sr., 89, husband of Virginia Medlin Vaughn, of Hwy 252, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House.

 

Born in Pelham, S.C., he was a son of the late Robert J. and Beulah A. Hutchins Vaughn.

He was a member of Genesis Church in Honea Path and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from Dixie Container Corp.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 71 years of the home are: two sons, Robbie (Debbie) Vaughn of Ware Shoals and Mark (Lisa) Vaughn of Honea Path; three sisters, Esther Taylor of Greer, Ruth (Jerry) White of Greer, Gail Green of Greer, and one brother, Gene (Jean) Vaughn of Greenville; three grandchildren, Robert S. Vaughn of Ware Shoals, Stephanie (Michael) Bottens of Greenwood, and Brayden Couch of Honea Path; and three great-grandchildren, Piper Vaughn, Eli Vaughn, and Amelia Bottens.

Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry Vaughn, three sisters, Mildred Lollis, Louise Beck, and Peggy Lynn, and a granddaughter, Emily Vaughn.

The family extends a special THANK YOU to Dr. Jimmy Smith and staff of Honea Path Family Practice, to the staff at Hospice of the Upstate and to Veterans Affairs.

Funeral services with limited capacity will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Vaughn officiating. Social distancing and face masks are required. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
