Hazel Chapman

Gray Court - Hazel Allison Chapman, 98, formerly of Highway 76, died Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Zaddie  “Estelle” Smith Allison. She was a member of Henderson Baptist Church. She had retired from Laurens Nursing home as a CNA.

She was the last member of her immediate family and is survived by a daughter-in-law, Louise Fountain, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son William George Traynham, two daughters, Nancy Traynham and Alice Jennings, two brothers, Marvin and Earl Allison, and two sisters, Mary Ellen Lollis and Nellie Lollis.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Henderson Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray Court, with Rev. Bryan Atkinson officiating. The family respectfully requests that mask are worn and social distancing observed.

The family is at their respective homes and will speak to friends after the service at the cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Henderson Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 207 Henderson Church Road, Gray Court, SC 29645.
