Born in Dillon, Montana, he was a son of the late Mason A. and Donna Jean Miller Brannan. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, and was retired from his work at the SC Forestry Commission.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by two sons: David Brannan and wife Adriana of Woodstock, GA, and Jerry Brannan and wife Cheryl of FL; one daughter: Amy Hanners of Kennesaw, GA; one brother: James Brannan and wife Debby of Honea Path; and ten grandchildren.

Mr. Brannan was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Wayne Brannan.
