Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Haskell M. and Martha Lenora Medlin Gregory. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church, and was retired from his work as a forklift operator for Burns Repair Shop in Greenville.

Mr. Gregory is survived by one sister: Nora Mae G. Giles, a nephew, Scott Giles (Marlene) of Ware Shoals, a niece, Beth Kidd (Chet) of Statesville, NC, and several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one sister: Carrie Louise Gregory
