Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Edward Harry Lee and Jewel Cox Werner. She was a member of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church in Decatur, GA, and was retired from the Gwinnett County School System, where she worked for 30 years as a Language Arts teacher.

Miss Werner is survived by two brothers: Alan Lamar Werner and wife Gail of Gainesville, Georgia, and Marion Lloyd Werner of Marietta, Georgia; one sister: Miriam Witcher and husband Tommy of Cleveland, Georgia; three nephews, two nieces, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Edward “Harry” Werner, Jr.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 27 at Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
