Born in Batesburg, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Hall and Catherine Rogers Lorick. She was employed at Stop-A-Minit #1 in Honea Path and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Meloine Lay of Honea Path and Rhonda Garrett (Larry) of Columbia, two grandsons, Jonathan and Ryan Lay, three great-grandchildren, and a very special nephew, Phil Ashley of Honea Path.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre deceased by her step-father, J. D. Lorick, and a brother, Ronald Hall.
