Born in Laurens he was a son of the late James Henry and Ruby Smith Leopard.

Surviving are two sons, Dustin Hayward Leopard and Josh Dorn Leopard both of the home, a daughter, Amanda Wilson of the Home, four brothers, Rickey Leopard of Clinton, Steve Leopard of Laurens, Tony Leopard of Laurens, and Bobbie Leopard of Greer, a sister Ruby Ann Martin of Gray Court, and special friends, Keith Brewington and Shannon Hinton. He was predeceased by a son Matt Leopard and a daughter Ashley Leopard, and two brothers, Jimmy Ray and John Wayne Leopard.
