Minnie Lee McMahan

Belton – Minnie Lee McCoy McMahan, (MawMaw), 80, loving wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered the gates of heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on April 30, 2021 at her home in Belton surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born August 11, 1940. She approached her diagnosis with unbelievable strength and astounding faith.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother Jimmie McCoy and father Jim McCoy, daughter Rita McMahan and brother Junior McCoy.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Selton McMahan, son Dwayne (Christine) McMahan, grandchildren Cassie (Travis) McMahan, Cortney McCall, great-grandchildren, Cara, Catie, Carter, Cierra, and Adam McMahan, Chance, Caden, and Colton McCall and Camden Holland, siblings Dorothy Jean Brown, Etrulia Bell, Edith Brock, Clarence McCoy, Thomas Ray McCoy, Fred Dean McCoy and Curtis McCoy.

MawMaw loved spending time with her family, as they were her treasures. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed cooking and especially baking cakes. She ministered to multiple families through her gift of cooking and hospitality. She was a faithful member of Mt Bethel Baptist Church. She had such a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh for all who loved and knew her.

In honor of Minnie Lee, she asked that we thank everyone at Dr. Doster’s office  for the awesome care over the years, the ladies on the third floor cancer center at AnMed Health, and all the neighbors and people in the community that have loved on her and her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Mt Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Krieger and Rev. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Pruitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
