Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Raymond Hoyt and the late Mary Young Brock. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his father of Honea Path, wife of the home, a son, Cody McGill (Destinie) of Honea Path, a daughter, Karley McGill of Due West, two brothers, Donnie Brock of Honea Path and Scottie Brock of Bishopville, and seven grandchildren.

Services will be announced by Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path.
