Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of John Henry, Jr. and Ruby Nell Madden McClain. She attended Southside Baptist Church and was a former teacher. Tammie was a huge Elvis Presley fan and was loved dearly by her Elvis family. She loved singing and playing the piano. She loved everybody and wanted everyone to be happy and smiling.

Surviving in addition to her parents of Greenwood and her devoted husband of 23 years of the home are: her son, Austin Irby of Honea Path; her step-daughter, Beverly (Chris) Bowyer of Ware Shoals; and her brother, Tim (Angie) McClain of Shoals Junction.

All funeral services will be private. In memory of Tammie, the family will greet and visit with family and friends at the Watkins Community Center, 204 S. Main Street, Honea Path, Sunday, September 12, 2021 beginning at 5 P.M.
