Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Carl Wayne and Sara Elizabeth Davis Brown. He was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from his work at Riechem.

Buddy is survived by one son: James Brown (Dede) of Ware Shoals; two daughters: Dianne Gunter (Jeff) of Waterloo and Angie Bott (Greg) of Hood River, OR; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two sons-in-law: Lanny Tumblin and Terry Lee Owens.

He was preceded in death by two daughters: Renee Brown Tumblin and Carol Owens.
